If possible wasps should be left alone as they are a very beneficial insect.
Wasps can cause damage to houses by digging tunnels in the wood to make a nest. Wasp nests can be found in crevices of tree trunks, hedges, in walls or roof spaces.
The three main types of wasps we have in New Zealand are the Common wasp, German wasp and the Asian paper wasp.
There is not a lot you can do to prevent wasps being around your home but we can get rid of them for you.
